In addition to IRCSET’s role in the Science and Society programme of the European Commission’s Framework Programmes, the Council is involved a number of activities at European level, including European Research Area Networks (ERA-NETs) and the European Science Foundation.  These activities provide both funding and networking opportunities for Irish researchers and ensure that IRCSET has a voice in the development of research policy across Europe.
