Current holders of an IRCSET postdoctoral fellowship are required to submit written progress reports. Guidelines on report preparation are available for download below.
For the EMPOWER scheme, a progress report must be submitted on completion of 10 and 24 months research. These reports must be accompanied by a confidential evaluation from the fellow’s mentor on the progress of the research.
For the INSPIRE scheme, a progress report must be submitted on completion of 10, 24 and 36 months in the case of 3 year agreements, and on completion of 10, 20 and 30 months in the case of 2.5 year agreements. These reports must be accompanied by a confidential evaluation from the out-going or return phase mentor, i.e. the mentor closest to the fellow's day-to-day activity at the time. The other mentor must confirm support of this evaluation.
All fellows awarded in 2009 and later years are required to complete the IRCSET Individual Development Plan, and submit a copy along with their progress report. The template can be downloaded below.
