The Enterprise Partnership Scheme offers researchers the opportunity to gain additional valuable experience while completing their research by working closely with a relevant industry partner as well as providing insights to some of the commercial factors stimulating research in Ireland.
Enterprise Partnership Scheme awards are the same value as IRCSET’s general Scholarship and Fellowship awards but offer a number of additional benefits.
By working closely with an industry partner, researchers benefit from an enhanced research experience as well as having the opportunity to learn key transferable skills relevant to career formation.
In addition to the support of an academic supervisor, researchers benefit from the guidance and input of an industry mentor.
Many of our enterprise partners also offer a placement period within the company as part of the co-funded scholarship.
Consideration for Enterprise Partnership Scheme funding is in addition to consideration for IRCSET’s general Scholarship and Fellowship awards and applications are made in the same way.
