2012 Intel Scholarships - In 2012, Intel Ireland is offering a minimum of 14 scholarships through the IRCSET’s Enterprise Partnership Scheme to suitable candidates in the Physical Sciences, Engineering, and Computer Sciences. Intel is also offering 3/14 scholarships in partnership with Tyndall National Institute in a selection of discipline areas.

IRCSET funded postdoc Kim Debacker and postgrad Aisling Frizzell, both researchers at National University of Ireland Galway have been working within a team who made a significant scientific discovery in the fight against Huntington's disease. The novel findings are published 21 February in the online, open access journal PLoS Biology (click here)
The Irish National Platform for Biodiversity Research is a forum for scientists, policy makers and other interested stakeholders involved in the field of biodiversity research. The platform is run under the auspices of the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Environmental Protection Agency and administered by a secretariat (BEC Consultants Ltd). It forms part of a wider network of biodiversity platforms across Europe that link into European initiatives through the European Platform for Biodiversity Research Strategy (EPBRS).
